This year I've been making lots of bigger art. With the holiday season coming up, I think I'm going to spend some time working on some smaller pieces that will be more budget friendly for most people. I already finished this 6 x 6 inch one, here's the process shots of how it came together!
Like most of my Mandalas I start with the outline. This one came together pretty quickly, it felt good to get into that flow state!
Then the next step is coloring it in. I've been using a bit more limited color palettes lately, and for this one I went with just some blues, black and white. I think it gives the piece a peaceful calming vibe. Blue is the color of the sky, and the oceans, so it usually resonates well with a lot of people!
Then the last step was to go over the outline again to tighten up the design and add a bit more contrast. I think it came together nicely, let me know what you think in the comments section below! Don't forget to smash the "like" button, and now you can even share posts directly from my blog to Facebook, Twitter and more!
You can grab this one of a kind original painting here. It's priced to go fast so don't wait if it calls to you!
I've got another 6 x 6 inch one that'll be ready soon too, so keep an eye out for that one, and my big Rainbow Passion Mandala will be ready soon too! -Adam
